Khodabakhshi Awarded ASCE Fellowship

Parisa Khodabakhshi, a Ph.D. student in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University, was recently awarded the O.H. Ammann Research Fellowship from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This fellowship is given to a member of ASCE to promote the creation of new knowledge in the field of structural design and construction. The WILLIAM PRAGER MEDAL is an award given annually by the Society of Engineering Science (SES) to an individual for “outstanding research contributions in either theoretical or experimental Solid Mechanics or both.” This medal was established in 1983. Dr. J.N. Reddy Elected to National Academy of Engineering

Dr. J.N. Reddy, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Distinguished Professor, Regents Professor, and Holder of the Oscar S. Wyatt Endowed Chair, was recognized this year for his contributions to composite structures and engineering education in his election to the National Academy of Engineering. Dr. Reddy came to Texas A&M University as an endowed chaired professor in 1992, bringing his passion for education and research to enrich the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
