Election to the
US National Academy of Engineering

Founded in 1964, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) is a private, independent, nonprofit institution that provides engineering leadership in service to the nation. Election to National Academy of Engineering membership is one of the highest professional honors accorded an engineer. Members have distinguished themselves in business and academic management, in technical positions, as university faculty, and as leaders in government and private engineering organizations. Members are elected to NAE membership by their peers (current NAE members).

Professor J.N. Reddy was elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in 2015. He was cited for his “contributions to composite structures and to engineering education and practice.”
